Camino de Córdoba

Cordoba - Cerro Muriano

This stage begins in Cardenal González street, crossing the neighborhood of Santiago, leaving on the left the apse of the Church of the Magdalena, also passing through the portico of San Lorenzo, the Trinitarian Fathers and the neighborhood of Fatima. The whole urban route has a very important artistic and historical value that we cannot describe here due to its extension.

Leaving the urban area we will cross the Pedroches stream by a bridge of Roman origin, we continue next to some quarries in exploitation, we reach another residential area that at the end leaves us in the Sanctuary of the Virgen de Linares of great devotion for the Cordobeses. We continue over the stream of the same name and towards the Loma de los Escalones. At this point we recommend that pilgrims on bicycles continue on the N432 road, as the technical difficulty and the risk of falling is high.

Further on also the walking route converges with this road and bicycles can join the common route again. We end up climbing the Cerro de Torre Árboles, a first order hill, somewhat deviated to the left of our path, but with an exceptional viewpoint of the whole city of Córdoba.

Short stage in length, beautiful but difficult because of the slope to overcome.
